As company founder, Ron is responsible for strategic direction and manages the key lender and borrower client relationships, in addition to overseeing all the day-to-day mortgage placement activities. His previous industry roles include originating mortgages for investment, commercial and industrial properties on behalf of pension fund, lifeco and capital markets investors, and placing construction and take-out mortgages for private and public borrowers through a wide variety of institutional lenders; he has also led a public sector development corporation, and directed a specialized commercial real estate lending group for a chartered bank, focussing on project finance and multi-family term lending. Rocky joined Margolis Capital in 2010, and supports our Mortgage Advisors by underwriting client financing requests, conducting market research, and is responsible for the creation of our comprehensive mortgage investment proposals for presentation to potential lenders. He brings with him a varied skill set; from functional accounting disciplines such as payroll and reconciliations, to front line customer service with a schedule A bank, career counselling for immigrant youth, and researching and creating detailed reports for foundation fund-raising. Rocky began his post-secondary education with 3 years at McGill University in Montreal and graduated from the University of Winnipeg with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course.

Deb oversees the compliance and administrative aspects of the firm, including human resources and vendor relationships. Her industry experience including roles as corporate bank auditor, manager of a regional team of 30 loan and mortgage supervisors and administrators for a major bank, and directing all credit administration functions for a large credit union portfolio. Deb has also held numerous volunteer leadership positions, including HR director for a multi-faceted non-profit organization.
